A lithe white she-cat stretched her limbs, the morning rays of the sun warming her fur but killing her eyes. Her front legs went as far as they could with her half in the apprentice's den and half out in the camp, but it got the kinks out. Her long tail lashed before she padded calmly into the grassy clearing, the scent of fresh kill brought her out of her sleepy daze then anything else. Her rosy nose picked p on a mouse, a good looking one for Leaf-Fall, but all the more not enough for the queens or elders. Taking it up for herself, the white she-cat hooked with a claw and flung it to a shady corner near the nursery. she followed after it, her white tail streaming behind her like a frothing river. Sitting, her ears whipped sideways as a wind caught them like sail on the sea. 'Hush' they seemed to whisper. A smile spread across her muzzle, "That's my name." Her muzzle dug mercilessly into the mouse, relishing the meaty taste. A moment later and all that was left was a bit of fur. Licking her chops she looked his way and that for her mentor, who was it again? Her memory slipped her and she just couldn't think of the name. Hushpaw began grooming, at least until someone ordered her to do something. but nonetheless, her tongue worked to it's best and washed her chest, paws, and whiskers of bits of mouse and even moss still clinging to her snowy pelt. Her green eyes snapped up from what she was doing, the sound of paws against grass making her pause, "Yes?" her voice rang out as a whisper, no wonder she was called Hushpaw...

OOC NOTE: Can you change the text color? It hurt my eyes when I was reading... The wind buffeted Goldenstar's thick mane as he padded out of his den. The large, white tom opened his jaws and gave a loud yawn as he stretched out his limbs. His back arced up and he flicked his plumey tail as he regained his balance. The clan came alive in front of him. He listened not only with his ears but with his paws as well. The running of apprentices and warriors made the ground shiver and his claws scratched at the hard earth. He blinked slowly and headed to the fresk-kill pile. The dawn patrol should of came back already so hopefully he could grab a morsel before going for his morning dash through the forest. As he came upon it he purred. At the top of the heap he saw a plump pigeon. His mouth watered and he licked his lips, but then he swallowed hard. A prey that delicious-looking was rare in leaf-fall and it was meant for queens, kits, and elders. It wasn't for toms that had enough bulk on them already. He picked up a skinny shrew instead and glanced around to see who to share tongues with. Sure enough he spotted a plush, white pelt and his ears pricked. Of course his kin was eating by herself again.
Goldenstar padded over and dropped his prey quietly. "Hushpaw?" He mewed. She turned to him and opened her jaws but he didn't know if anything came out. "Hushpaw? Did you just wake up? You still have moss in your pelt." He purred and ran his tongue over his sister's ear, letting a piece of nest fall from her silky pelt. "Untidy, much?" He mewed in amusement as he sat next to her. He dove into his shrew but stopped when an idea struck him. "Would you like to take a run with me? Starclan knows you could use a lively sprint."

Turns out her brother had just awoken too. Guess being fashionably late ran in the family. Her muzzle turned up in a smirk and she beamed at Goldenstar. Pausing from her wash she looked up and blinked at him. Hushpaw? Did you just wake up? You still have moss in your pelt. The sot rasp of his ear on her ear made shivers run through her pelt. Purring she flicked her tail across his paws, sweeping off bits of grass and mulched up leaf. "I could say the same for you." she meowed to him smirking. Her eyes traveled down to the stringy vole at his paws; of course he'd choose that over a plump pigeon. Hushpaw was proud of him that was for sure. No matter what she stood by his decisions. Purring again she watched his face turn from a contempt munching to sudden idea. Would you like to take a run with me? Starclan knows you could use a lively sprint. Hushpaw stopped her washing again to think about it. She hadn't been lively lately and a nice walk with her kin sounded like the perfect excuse to get out. Hushpaw always loved the lands outside the camp, she found the inside so....confining. Outside limits didn't exist and she could drop the whole quiet act and be who she was. With Goldenstar especially she could feel at home. "I'd love to." she replied simply, nodding.

Goldenstar purred as his younger sister stared up at him with nothing adoration in her green eyes. Although they shared different mothers they still seemed to stay close. The thick-furred tom swept his tail around his paws as the small apprentice gave a quick yes.
"Alright, alright, well hold on. Let's eat first. Do you want to share this with me?" He asked, nudging the small piece of prey towards the she-cat. Although Hushpaw could hunt for herself Goldenstar knew that every leaf-fall was hard on every cat in the forest. He tilted his broad head to the side, his eyes full of both excitement and curiosity. He knew it was getting late so he wanted to hurry up and finish eating. As he waited for his sister's answer he glanced around the campl. The whole camp was awake by now, either getting ready for patrols or hunting parties. He didn't get a chance to see Iceheart off but he was sure the deputy of Thunderclan could handle a patrol or two.
