General Rules 01. Characters-This site lets you have up to five characters each account, but you may only have one account. If you want more characters you'll need to have to prove you can rp more by keeping all five of yours active. Characters must be well-rounded and have good and bad traits. Character images may be photograph or colored drawing as long as the picture has sensible markings. If you want anything extra (star shaped or moon shaped markings) you must buy them. If you wish to be leader, deputy, medicine cat, or medicine cat apprentice you can only be two of them and not the same one. If you are already a leader in one clan you may not be a deputy or leader in another clan. You may only be deputy in a clan if you're a leader in another if that leader is new and not close to dying.
Also note you MUST make a character application after joining. We give you one week. If you haven't made a post of any kind then your account will be deleted. 02. Posting-This is considered an intermediate to advanced roleplay so you must be able to post around 100-200 words. Its really not alot so really anyone should be able to join. Make sure your punctuation and grammar is correct. You may use different color text, but nothing too hard to read. You have one week to reply to a thread before it goes to dead. Note someone (whoever is in the thread with you) and the week will be extended. Do not curse or use any content above pg-13. Of course gore is allowed.
Liquid time is allowed. You may post in at most 3 posts with each character at a time. Ceremony threads and gatherings don't count.
03.Rating-This site is rated PG-13. This means no abusive swearing. If you don't know what that means; if you cuss every other word you probably shouldn't be here. We allow minor bad language such as using damn and hell but only in OC posts. No big swear words such as f*** and s*** and b****. We also don't allow adult content. Innuendo is fine, such as saying your character mated with another but that is it. You may not be graphic about your matings. If you use foul language in the IC boards then you will be warned. We follow the PB TOS so read it and learn it. That means no one under 13 may join our site. Sorry for the inconvenience.
04.Spamming/flaming/trolling/BEING RUDE-If you spam TIW your posts will be deleted. If you constantly flame/troll someone on here then you will either be deleted or severely warned. If you try hurting a member as in being rude to them (even in the c-box) then you will be banned. Do NOT PM a member with links or images unless they SPECIFICALLY asked for it. Do NOT advertise in your signature or avatar or anywhere other than the advert board(s).
Do not spam or flood the cbox. You may post 5 messages one after the other but thats a limit. Also don't ask about your apps in the cbox. Staff is probably busy but they will get to your bio as soon as they can. You may post in the cbox about a thread but don't push people to respond.
05.Graphics-TIW adores graphics from all our members but there are a few guidelines. Any and all images must be appropriate. No adult images or even hinted adult images. Nothing racist, sexist, prejudist, etc will be posted. It will be promptly deleted. All graphics on the boards must be no bigger than 500 px in width. The height should be reasonable. Signatures should be no bigger than 500x500. Avatars will be no bigger than 100x100. In your signature we prefer you to have your characters.

IC Rules 01. Gaining a Status-In this forum you may start out as a any position you want. If you want to become leader or deputy after creating a warrior (or elder in some cases) then you must do some stuff first. a. post an rp post with at least 300 words. Higher positions require more posting so we'd like to know you're up for the job.
b. have at least one apprentice. It is fine if you currently have an apprentice, but you have to have had him/her for at least one moon.
c. be at least 30 moons.
02. Battling-You may enter into a battle at any time. The most common times are of course during war or during border patrols. A cat may randomly attack you and that is allowed. But you have every right to defend yourself. IF you find a kit you MAY NOT attack it, unless you are a rogue. If you come into contact with another apprentice, warrior, elder, etc. you may commense fighting. How you will battle is one move per post. Which means you can't do a bunch of moves and then not let your opponent protect him/herself. You may dodge attacks but try not to do it every single one. If you are too badly injured a medicine cat should heal you.
Badgers, Foxes, and all other NON-cat animals will be NPC, which means played by a staff member.
03. Mating/Kitting-When the time comes you may mate. She-cats must be warriors before they can mate. I understand in rl that a cat can become pregnant as young as 6 months but not in here. (to get technical a she-cat could go into heat at 4 months and is pregnant for 2 months so would have kits at 6 months) A tom must be a warrior before he mates. Apprentices may be lovey-dovey but they may not become mates. Mating season is usually around leafbare, so the kitting season can happen in newleaf or green leaf. It is rare to happen in other seasons but under certain circumstances may be allowed. Force mating is not allowed, unless two members want it for some sort of character plot and it fades out. Clan cats do NOT force breed, only if you are a rogue+kittypet, rogue+rogue, rogue+loner, loner+loner.
When kitting season is in you must post with the two cats (either rper) in the kitting board. A mod/admin will reply with your kits and their health. The she-cat will name the kits. Each parent may adopt as many of the living kits as they want. When a kit is stillborn or dies shortly after birth they will be on the Starclan Members post.
04. Joining A Clan/Leaving A ClanIf you are a loner or rogue, or you leave one clan and want to join another there are a few things you must do. First you must make a thread with the leader of said clan. Once you do the thread the leader has the option to let you join or kick you out.
To leave a clan you should have a good reason. Examples would be you're more suited to be a loner/kittypet rather than a warrior/apprentice or you have a bad love affair and want to be with your mate's clan, or you committed some evil deed and the leader kicked you out (exile/banishment). You must make a thread of you leaving before your marked off the clan list.
05. Killing/Dying-You may only kill a cat if he/she gives you permission. You may seriously injure any cat without permission. If he/she is a clan leader it will be harder to kill off. Medicine cats are not allowed to be killed. Kits are not to be touched, as well as queens. Though rogues, loners, kittypets, are allowed to attack them as they don't know about the warrior code.
If you want to die then you can request someone kill off your character. You must make a post about it. Or you can request a NPC animal to kill you. NPC animals:
a. Badger b. Fox c. Wolf d. Dog e. Hawk f. Falcon g. Eagle h. Wild Cat (mountain lion are common)

Character Rules 01.Fur and Eyes-Cats can be almost any color or shade, except for genetically impossible. The possible colors are:
a. black b. white c. brown d. gray e. blue-gray f. silver g. tan h. creme i. red j. orange k. tortie l. calico m. torbie (tortie with tabby stripes) n. black and white (also known as tuxedo)
Other colors may be allowed.Cats are commonly tabby, or one base color with darker/lighter stripes. Tabby cats can have any number or white markings. The best way to know if the colors of your cat are correct is to ask a staff member. Cats can be hairless, short-haired, medium-haired, or long-haired. Hairless cats are extremely rare. It may be bought but you may create a hairless cat. But know it will not be healthy as the cold temperatures may make him/her sick ALOT.
Eyes are mainly:
a. amber b. yellow c. brown d. blue e. green
eyes can be any shade of the above. They can also sometimes be gray, but that is rare. Odd colors such as purple or red are extremely rare and must be bought. But once you have a cat that has those eyes they can breed and though it is rare their kits can sometimes have those eyes.
02. Size-Cats can range in size from 7-25 pounds. Kits usually get no bigger than 7 pounds. Because they are domesticated cats they rarely get any bigger than 25 pounds, though some may be around 27 pounds, though its rare.
03. Ages-Kits are from 0-6 moons, or 0-6 months. warriors are usually 12-84 moons. or one year to seven years. A young senior warrior is after that, followed by an older senior warrior starting around one hundred moons. After that he'll retire to the elders den.
Kits are not allowed out of camp at all. Apprentices are allowed out with another warrior. Warriors can leave whenever if they've told someone and leaders or deputies can leave whatever, as well as medicine cats.
04. Names-Any kit names end in kit. Apprentices end in paw. Leaders end in Star. Cat's names are chosen by their mothers usually. If she is not available their father or clan leader chooses the name. Names are usually after:
a. weather (ex: snow, ice, sun, cloud, rain) b. animal (ex: wolf, badger, mouse, vole, starling, hawk) c. description (ex: little, big, quiet, sweet, clumsy) d. color (ex: black, white, brown, red, russet) e. element (ex: fire, water, breeze, shade)
Other names are allowed. Just ask and we'll see if they're allowed. Items that cats do not know are not allowed as names such as Hammer or Bullet. Try to not choose names that describe their personality such as Honest or Courage. Because when a kit is born the queen doesn't know what they're like. Though this isn't always the case. A queen could name her kit Quietkit due to not mewling or mewling quietly at birth or Sweetkit because its a she-cat. Ask the admin if a name is okay if you're not sure. Suffix names (the second part of your name) may not be any of the clans such as Thunder, Wind, Shadow, River, or Sky.
Suffix names are generally something like:
a.fur b. pelt c. whisker d. flight e. foot f. tail g. face h. claw i. fang
Again others are allowed but ask to see if thats okay.
Leaders choose warrior names for apprentices.
