Physical Description:
Littletrout is a small cat. He looks to be the size of an apprentice. He is lean, with strong front lets. His fur is a glossy, silver that’s medium length. He has almost black markings on him; the typical tabby markings plus a stripe going from the back of his head to his tail tip. He had his tail cut off when he was only 3 moons old so instead of a thick, plumy tail like that of his father, he has a feathery bob. His paw are round, but now large, with ivory colored claws. His eyes are a pale blue. Black dots cover the extent of his underbelly and chest, becoming paler towards his waist, where tabby stripes form. He has tall silver ears with a dark spot behind each one. His inner ears, paw pads, and nose are a blush pink. Littletrout is build small and lean. He isn’t weak by any means. This little warrior has proved his strength time and time again. He has three scars on his right hip, made from claws of some cat long ago. But that is the only scar that hurts his small body.
Personality Description:
Loyalty, devotion, determination, and brave are some of the positive traits that describe the young tom known as Littletrout. He would never turn his back on others he cares about or even those he’s lived with for a while. He wouldn’t necessarily die for them, but he would do his best to protect them. Although he usually trusts those like family or family friends it’s not necessarily easy to gain his trust. But he is devoted to those that have earned that. If someone is hurt because of him and it’s someone he cares for he would work his hardest to make them happy again. In battles or in anything he is determined to do his best. He is one of the best fishers for a reason, because he’s worked at it. He likes to get good results and won’t give up until he feels he has it, whether that be in hunting, fishing, or his battle skills. The last trait is bravery and he excels at it. He’s not one to back down from a challenge, especially if you’re making fun of him. He will go head-first into a fight. But he will also show his bravery to others when it comes to other things, such as being honest when he does something wrong. He isn’t afraid to own up to something he did, even as a young kit.
Easily offended, quick tempered, and untrustful are negative traits of Littletrout. He knows that he is one of the smallest cats in Riverclan and others know this too. They often make fun of his size, not to mention any mistake he makes. He usually snaps back at them and if the offence is too bad he attacks them. This often resorts in him getting in trouble by older warriors or even the leader. He is rather quick tempered and causes a lot of fights. He usually doesn’t care who he is offending with his remarks. This tom is also not keen to trusting others. If they are in his own clan he’ll tolerate training with them or going on hunting parties with them, but doesn’t prefer that. That’s one advantage of Riverclan, that fishing only takes one cat. He couldn’t imagine living in Windclan where it takes two cat’s to catch a rabbit. If the cat’s are out of clan he won’t even tolerate them. He despises gatherings and think’s they’re nonsense. When he sees another clan cat he hisses at them and turns away.
History:
Born to Silentsong and Boulderstripe, two river clan cats, Littlekit was bound to have some sort of issues. His father, Boulderstripe, had always wanted a powerful and big tom like himself. Instead he got one of the smallest kits in all the clans. His mother, whom didn’t like Boulderstripe anymore, named Littlekit just to spite his father. Though his parents didn’t like him especially he, due to his innocence, was always cuddling up to them. All he wanted was the perfect mom and dad, someone to comfort him and coddle him but instead he got two of the most temperamental cats in the clan. He grew up quickly out of this phase and his own little sarcastic personality shown itself. He began staying away from his father and straying farther away from the nursery.
When he was three moons old he saw a bunch of apprentices leave the camp without mentors. Knowing that was against the warrior code he thought if they did it he could leave the camp without someone too. The small kit silently left camp and found himself by the river. He had only seen water from moss before and this excited him. Littlekit splashed his paws in it but stopped when he heard a hollar. Thinking the clan was going to chastise him he ducked behind some reeds. But it was only some warriors claiming there was a fox scent and they had to tell the leader. Curiosity got the better of him and Littlekit went to see what a fox looked like. He followed what he thought was fox scent and came upon a small burrow. Slowly he peeked inside then felt hot breath behind him. Turning around he came face to face with a long snout and orange pelt. He flattened his ears and lowered himself to the ground as much as possible. The fox grabbed him by the tail and shook him hard then threw him against a rock. The small kit blacked out then.
He woke up in the medicine cat’s den and was surrounded by the clan. He prepared himself for a hollar but they were just worried. He heard Silentsong ask if he’d be able to ever be apprenticed. This confused Littlekit at first. He checked to look at himself. He still had all four legs and he could see and hear. Why wouldn’t he be able to be an apprentice? Then the medicine cat chuckled and told her a torn tail was nothing to be alarmed at. Startled Littlekit checked for his tail and instead of the thick, plumy tail he had once had a thick, fluffy stub wrapped in spider webs was present. He stood up and wobbled a bit. The medicine cat assured him that though he’s a bit clumsy now he’d be normal in a few days. With that Littlekit practiced running, jumping, and just moving around the medicine den, which annoyed the medicine cat to no fault. When he could move normally and his tail stopped bleeding she ordered him back to the nursery. He ran back, expecting the same silent treatment from his mother but instead was welcomed with licks on the face. Silentsong scooped him up and gave him a proper bath, which she had never done before. He was confused until she ordered him not to scare her like that ever again and that he was her only kit. She couldn’t stand to lose him. He sighed and just let her chastise away as he fell into a deep slumber under her rhythmic strokes of the tongue.
Soon Littlekit was six moons old, though he looked much smaller than any six moon old had looked before. But he was given a ceremony and now was called Littlepaw. He was given the warrior Eaglescar, a smaller, golden warrior. He helped him to see his size as an advantage and gain speed as well as strength. They were a good team and Littlepaw didn’t mind his mindless chatter about star clan. Littlepaw was used to his mother’s calm affection for him now. Whenever she hunted she always brought him the biggest or juiciest piece of prey. Whenever she could she’d ask to go hunting with the patrol he was in. Though Littlepaw found it annoying Eaglescar explained that she was scared that he’d be attacked again and to give her some slack. Littlepaw let her tag along and realized how good she really was. On hunting parties she always used her tall, lithe build to catch the most fastest flyers. She was very talented at catching prey that wasn’t common like squirrels. And she admired the way her son caught fish. Because Littlepaw was so small he was very good at staying still until the fish came upon him. His silver and black coat was perfect camouflage too.
When he was ten moons old Littlepaw was involved in a fight with some loners. He was experienced now and could hold his own but his mother was with him if he needed help. One rogue, a large one with chunks of fur missing, attacked him, raking his claws into Littlepaw’s hip. Littlepaw hissed and slashed his claws across the larger cat’s face. Silentsong was busy with some other cat so she couldn’t do anything to help her son. Littlepaw held his own though and was even able to fight him off to run away. He used his speed and agility to outmaneuver most of the cats. But most of the cats weren’t so lucky. Boulderstripe got a gash in his throat and died from blood loss. Silentsong was attacked on her flank badly but it didn’t kill her, only made her retire to the elders den.
At 12 moons old Littlepaw was in another fight, this time a border patrol gone wrong. In the fight he got a bad scratch on his leg but he hurt another cat just as bad. Eaglescar was also attacked, on his underbelly. The other patrol ran them off and promised to speak to their leader about the fight afterwards. While they went to talk to him Littlepaw helped bring his mentor to the medicine cat. But he lost to much blood and died at the entrance to the camp. Littlepaw was stricken with grief because besides his mother, Eaglescar was the only one to care for him like his own kit. The following moonhigh Littlepaw was made a warrior and honored for his speed and loyalty. He was named Littletrout. Everyone knew this was due to his pelt and also due to his taste in the fish.
Moons passed and when he was 20 moons another tragedy struck. His mother passed of old age. He burried her himself and promised her he’d be the best warrior for her.
